Set on one acre of landscaped gardens, this historic, Eastlake-style Victorian estate was built by Scotsman Robert Simpson in 1874. The Simpson House has been honored with a Structure of Merit Award, as well as Landmark status by the Landmarks Commission for its unique architecture and period setting. The Simpson House Inn is located two blocks from State Street and 1.5 miles from the beach. Guests are greeted with a welcome amenity and presented a gift at departure. Breakfast is served daily and an evening wine tasting with hors d’oeuvres is also offered. Beverages are complimentary throughout the day. Other complimentary amenities include bicycle rentals and passes to the Santa Barbara Athletic Club. Fully restored and modernized, the inn now offers complimentary wireless Internet access, spa services, and English croquet and beach equipment. Small meetings and intimate banquets may be arranged.
